About CleanTextLabs

CleanTextLabs is built and maintained by M Nouman Saeed, a developer who kept running into the same small annoyance over and over: pasting text from a PDF, a spreadsheet, or an API response and getting back something riddled with broken line breaks, invisible characters, or malformed JSON. Rather than keep hunting for a tool that wasn't buried in ads or gated behind a signup form, I built the ones I actually wanted to use — and kept adding to them.

That's still the whole premise: fast, free, no-signup utilities for problems that come up constantly in real workflows — cleaning text, formatting JSON, counting words, and generating URL slugs.

Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste into the Text Cleaner, JSON Formatter, Word Counter, or Slug Generator is ever uploaded to a server — the processing happens locally in JavaScript, which means it works for sensitive data (API keys, drafts, internal notes) without that data leaving your device.

Under the hood, the site is built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, and hosted on Vercel — a standard, modern web stack rather than anything exotic. No account system, no database storing your input, no tracking beyond basic analytics.

Each tool is built, tested, and maintained by me personally rather than auto-generated or templated from a generic tool-builder. When I change how a tool behaves, I test it against the messy real-world inputs that motivated building it in the first place — broken PDFs, minified API payloads, copy-pasted spreadsheet data — before it ships.

The guides on the blogare written and reviewed by me, not auto-generated. Each post exists because it's a question I've either had myself or seen come up while building and using these tools. When a post turns out to be incomplete, outdated, or wrong about something, I'd rather update it than leave it — you'll see an "Updated" date alongside the original publish date on posts that have been revised.

• September 2026: Added new guides on cleaning text for AI prompts, JSON vs JSON5, calculating reading time, and generating WordPress slugs. Refreshed page titles, meta descriptions, and structured data sitewide, and added security response headers.
• July 2026: Substantially expanded every existing blog post with deeper, more practical content and added FAQ sections throughout.
• April 2026: Site launched with the first four tools — Text Cleaner, JSON Formatter, Word Counter, and Slug Generator — alongside the first blog posts.
